Today would be the perfect kite-flying day. It’s incredibly windy but not freezing… yet. It’s sunny in any case. No chance of getting struck by lightning or pelted by rain.
Unfortunately, kite flying just isn’t as much fun when you’re alone, and Steve’s at work. He may even have the kite in the trunk of the car he drove.
So instead, I’ll sit inside and teach college students about things like compound modifiers (ie, kite-flying day) and the intricacies of APA style, which I know next to nothing about. Yay for the Online Writing Lab at Purdue University!
A bigger yay for a short-term paid teacher’s assistant gig.
